Specialist Plastic Surgeon

Plastic Surgeon vs Cosmetic Doctor

In Australia, to be called a Specialist Plastic Surgeon, a doctor must have completed a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training program (which takes at least five years), including passing several rigorous multi-stage examinations and hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Not only do all Specialist Plastic Surgeons hold these extensive qualifications, but also take part in registered, audited continuous professional education (CPD) programs in order to retain them.
